A Transformative Step Forward in Research

Quantum technologies are rapidly emerging. Soon they will be critical to fundamental research in areas spanning physics, chemistry, materials, biology and medical sciences.

The Center for Quantum Leaps (CQL), is creating a field-changing program of research within Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis.  In collaboration with the McKelvey School of Engineering and the School of Medicine, our work will harness new quantum and advanced technologies to develop and customize breakthroughs in key areas.

Given WashU’s strengths in biology, and the biomedical and life sciences, including plant science, we are uniquely poised to foster new collaborations across three schools. These efforts will advance their respective research programs and bolster transformational technologies in the coming decades.
